Tsotsi
Amanda and I went to see Tsotsi last night, great movie. Tsotsi is a South African film based on a novel by Athol Fugard. It is a film of deep emotional power, considers a young killer whose cold eyes show no emotion, who kills unthinkingly, and who is transformed by the helplessness of a baby. This film also won Best Foreign Film at the Oscars.

We wanted to see the film but found out it was not placed in our threaters anymore. Our South African friends highly recommmended; and we were just sorry to have missed it. The evening we ended up watching "Ask the Dust", a film which was made in South Africa with its particular deep blue ocean view. Not much to say on the story itself. aunt
